I know this is not related to Avenged Sevenfold, but out of respect I felt an obligation to share this.
Yesterday, the legendary drummer of The Band, Levon Helm passed away from a long fight with cancer. He more recently had a few albums out more in the folk, bluegrass direction. Levon was, I believe, one of the greatest musicians ever. I got lucky enough to see him preform a handful of times, and he even handed me a drumstick, with a big smile on his face. Now, if you don’t mind, take the time to listen to his music in his honor. My personal favorite album, is “Dirt Farmer.” Levon lived an incredible life that most of us can only dream of, and his enthusiasm will never be forgotten.
Thank you guys very much for reading this. And I want you all to step back and just be thankful for everything you have. Your health, friends, family and most importantly, your life.
